Social Practice in Winter Vacation
In order to better promote students’ fulfillment of socialist core values and inherit the magnificent Chinese culture, during the winter holiday, students from Anqing Foreign Language School implemented various forms of social surveys and social practice activities, wrote their own social practice reports and gained a lot.
At the beginning of the winter vacation, led by their parents, students from Anqing Foreign Language School purposefully carried out their social practice in a planned way. For instance, some students chose to visit museums and memorial halls where there were stories buried in time and tide. Some others got close to nature to seek the origins of all things and tried to find the beauty of life. Some entered communities to make surveys, visited lonely old people, interviewed neighbors as well as comprehended people’s livelihood. Others did manual work with their parents, experiencing joy and sorrows in life while working.
In summary, the implementation of social practice activities was beneficial to improving students’ comprehensive quality and accelerating their integrated development. More noticeably, twenty-two students were awarded ‘Advanced Individuals during Winter Vacation Social Practice’. In the meantime, this informative event was a significant initiative for Anqing Foreign Language School to lead students’ healthy growth and talents, which played an irreplaceable role in strengthening students’ sense of historical mission and social responsibility. Therefore, this grand event not only enabled students to learn more about society, understand and serve society, cultivated their innovative spirit, team spirit and practice potential, but also trained students’ capabilities during the holiday season, enhanced their self independence in addition to tasting the pleasure of life during social practice!
